Setting up the Finance JCL for Cognos reports
You set up the Finance job control language (JCL) in the JCL tab located on the Next Question Prompting (NUUPJBNQ) window.

1. Select the NU: Nucleus tab located at the top of the CentralSquare Finance Enterprise desktop.
Result: The various sections under Nucleus display.
2. Select UP: Update ROOTDB to view the list of all the options.
3. Select JB: Job Dialogue/Running Mgmt.
4. Select NQ: Next Question Prompting & JCL.
Result: The Next Question Prompting window displays.
Follow these steps to set up the Finance JCL:
1. Select the JCL tab to enter the Cognos JCL command in the Command or reserved word field.
Example: If you enter !COMMENT [cg:Financials:Trial Balance] in the Command or reserved word field, "cg" indicates Cognos, "Financials" indicates the folder name of the report on the Cognos server, and "Trial Balance" indicates the actual report name within the Financials folder. The Financials folder is assumed to be under the CentralSquare Finance Enterprise Reports folder on the Cognos server.
The command must display on the first line of the JCL. If a Cognos server URL is not specified in the Finance Server Management Console, CentralSquare Finance Enterprise ignores this line and runs the job using the classic software.
Note: The !COMMENT command is used for all Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) windows, CentralSquare Finance Enterprise windows, Click, Drag, and Drill (CDD) reports, and various utilities in addition to Cognos usage. The information inside the brackets is a differently formatted string depending on the type of process that gets launched.
2. Press Enter to save.
